His findings were alarming—many artificial ingredients are used to foster addiction rather than promote health, and some have even been linked to severe health risks.

Motivated to make a difference, Rashed founded FRÍO to provide a healthier alternative to conventional drinks, free from hidden dangers. FRÍO stands for transparency, health, and a commitment to quality hydration. Through every can we produce, we aim to offer a refreshing and wholesome choice, empowering our consumers with a beverage they can trust.

In alignment with the UAE’s vision for food and water security by 2051, FRÍO champions local manufacturing. By collaborating with local suppliers, we support domestic productivity while ensuring adherence to sustainable sourcing standards. Regular audits ensure that our suppliers meet rigorous quality and sustainability standards. FRÍO is also exploring partnerships with government bodies to secure sustainable water sources and examining exclusive agreements in neighboring countries to source responsibly.

Eco-Conscious Packaging: The Aluminium Advantage

One of FRÍO’s most impactful decisions was to use aluminium cans instead of plastic bottles. With a recycling rate of approximately 75%, aluminium is significantly more sustainable than plastic, supporting our goal of reducing plastic waste and promoting a circular economy. Additionally, aluminium does not leach harmful substances into beverages, aligning with our mission to provide a product that is safe and trustworthy. “Every can we produce can be recycled, reducing the burden on our environment,” Rashed shares.
